1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Turbine ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. About Turbine

Turbine is an independent, third-party application that displays and organizes publicly available data from the Steam platform using Valve Corporation's public APIs. Turbine is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation or Steam.

3. Steam and Valve

  • Turbine accesses data through Valve's publicly available Steam Web API in accordance with the Steam Web API Terms of Use.

  • Steam, the Steam logo, and all related marks are trademarks and/or registered trademarks of Valve Corporation.

  • Your use of Steam is separately governed by Valve's Steam Subscriber Agreement and Steam's own privacy policy. We have no control over Valve's services or data.

4. Use of the App

You agree to use Turbine only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent any API rate limits or restrictions imposed by Valve

  • Use the App to harass, stalk, or harm any other person

  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization

5. No Account Required / Steam Account

Turbine may allow you to connect your Steam account to access your personal Steam data (such as your library or playtime). By connecting your Steam account, you authorize Turbine to retrieve your publicly accessible Steam data on your behalf. We do not store your Steam credentials.

6. Data and Privacy

  • Turbine only accesses data that is publicly available through Valve's APIs or that you explicitly authorize.

  • We do not sell your data to third parties.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code within the App (excluding Steam data and Valve trademarks) is the intellectual property of the Turbine developers. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Turbine is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free

  • Steam data accessed through the App will be accurate, complete, or up to date

  • The App will remain available if Valve changes or restricts its API access

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Turbine and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruptions.

10. Changes to the App or Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Paid Plans

Turbine uses a recurring subscription for $2.99/month. Both the subscription and any other purchase can become suspended or terminated at any time and is dependent on Valve's Steam APIs being publicly accessible and Valve continuing to support the API. By purchasing any of the products on Turbine you accept that service can end at anytime for any reason without refund. The developer also reserves the right to stop supporting the app at any time. Like you, we have to adhere to Steam Web API Terms of Use, so if they change rate limits or suspend service to their API service may change or be canceled.

14. Inventory and Games

We are not representative of any game, publisher, or app displayed on Turbine. By accepting the terms of service you acknowledge this. All values are estimates, and may be cached information, so it could be behind. Contact thepocketlabs@gmail.com if you are a publisher or customer and notice a mistake and we will work to correct it.

Turbine is an independent project and is not affiliated with Valve Corporation, Steam, or any game displayed within the app.
